The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have released a new trailer for New Pokemon Snap, showcasing a variety of events and gameplay.
The new six -minute trailer gives an overview of what fans can expect when they pick up the game and travel to the Lental region, its setting. The video, titled a “Lental Region Snap Guide”, will likely be available in English soon – but since it has been released to the public for several hours now with no clue, we thought we’d post the Japanese version . There is a similar but shorter trailer released in English in February.
The guide provides information on how to take photos, which is of course the core of the game, but also has advice on how to take photos of a better quality. It runs how the levels work, where as with the original actions you perform and the interactions you perform can change the appearance of the Pokemon, and also change what the Pokemon got around the level. .
In the game, your goal is to take many different types of pictures of different Pokemon. The pictures are then scored by the Professor of the game, who replaces Professor Oak’s role in the original. Being a modern game, there are of course photo editing and sharing facilities to show your snaps in the real world, too – and all of that can be seen in the video.
In addition to the big six-minute trailer, a couple of crazy Japanese television commercials for the game also debuted today So, here's also an embedded ones: for the Nintendo Switch later this month, on the 30th of April.
