Rare will soon release a brand new update for Sea of Thieves Season 2 but what to expect avid sea-loving gamers from the tough the head popular pirate simulator in the coming weeks?  According to the trailer, Sea of Th steal Season 2 launches on April 15 but some of the details about what we can expect from the next big update are Rare is somewhat shrouded in mystery.
Fortunately, The Developer is getting some information about the new Season in waves (no wishful pun) and the latest trailer really gives us some insight into what we can expect from in the second Period of the game.
This is why the new Season will be another three month deal, offering 100 levels or rewards combined with updates and events to keep things fresh whether you are an intrusive ol ' seadog, or a fresh face navigator.
The trailer, embedded above, features a new emote that lets you hide in a barrel (handy for presenting ambushes!) And gives us a peek at some new cosmetic items. We like the idea of having a whole crew of unscrupulous pirates hiding in a barrel, waiting for a hilarious group of scoundrels to happen to trap you and rot your maneuver. This is very Sea of Thieves.
It would be more in line with the best pirate fiction if you were wearing the Skeleton Skin tattooed on the trailer as well.
The game recently celebrated some major milestones; 20 million players and its third anniversary. Our own Alex Donaldson also considers how Sea of Th steal is the final proof that subscription services like Xbox Game Pass are a winner in light of the large number of games.
Season 2 will likely go further to prove that point when it launches on April 15.
